Enginuity Testimonials

The following comments are from a paper presented at the 13th International Pacific Conference on Automotive Engineering, section 2.1., Selection of Engine Model:

"... There are some widespread commercial engine models such as Enginuity by SimuQuest, EngineSim by SimCar, and GT-Power by Gamma technology. Among these three engine models, Enginuity is appropriate for developing a misfire detection system because Enginuity has cylinder-by-cylinder combustion models, and is fast and accurate enough for designing a misfire detection system."

Enginuity

Enginuity is a powerful engine model tool package. The package includes a comprehensive set of engine component models for virtually any practical engine configuration. The models are specifically taylored to the needs of interactive engine control system development and real-time control system evaluation. Enginuity engine models are based on the Mathworks Simulink modeling tool framework. The model components embody a unique, physics-based modeling approach which affords a high level of model accuracy across the entire engine operating envelope while preserving computational efficiency. Enginuity models support interactive engine control and diagnostics feature development at any level of complexity. The models can either be deployed within an entirely virtual development framework (Matlab/Simulink) or within the context of a HIL testing framework. Enginuity models are a cost effective solution for many engine control development tasks. Enginuity can help you to significantly shorten the engine control development cycle and to alleviate the need for expensive experimental test infrastructure.

The Enginuity tool package consists of an engine component model library and a user interface tool for an automated model calibration process. The tool package facilitates the rapid assembly and calibration of accurate, real-time capable simulation models for any given target engine. Enginuity supports port fuel injected (PFI), direct injected (DI), spark ignition (SI), and compression ignition (CI) engine applications. The component model blocks execute very efficiently both on PCs within Simulink or on dedicated HIL target platforms. Enginuity as been tested on dedicated HIL system components from dSPACE, ADI, Opal-RT, and National Instruments.
